About Us
Meet the Founder
Amanda Talbot brings over a decade of experience in education and caregiving to Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy.
She completed vocational training in Early Childhood Education and Culinary Arts at Portland Arts & Technology High School, and continued her education at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland.
Her professional background includes serving as a Head Start teacher, licensed daycare provider, substitute teacher, and foster mother for children with disabilities.
As a mother of 13 years to her autistic son, inclusion and individualized learning are deeply personal. Tiny Chefs was created to provide a structured, hands‑on microschool environment where every child feels supported, capable, and empowered to thrive.
When Traditional School Isn’t the Right Fit
Has your child struggled in a large classroom environment?
Do they need more hands‑on learning, movement, and real‑world application?
Some students thrive with personalized attention, smaller groups, and experiential lessons that go beyond worksheets and long lecture days.
That’s where Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy comes in.
We are a small‑group microschool in Spring Hill (ages 5+) blending core academics with cooking, STEM exploration, history, and life skills. Our students learn by doing — measuring, experimenting, building, creating, and collaborating.
With a maximum of 10 students per session, your child is known, supported, and encouraged to grow in both confidence and capability.
If you're looking for a balanced alternative that combines structure, creativity, and real‑life skills — we invite you to schedule a tour and see the difference for yourself.
